Closing the Job Brief is so often missed by recruiters, and yet it is a critical step. Think about what commitment you want from the client – Exclusivity, Interview Slots, Retainers etc. – and ensure you use the information gathered during the conversation to stimulate their commitment. Remember that in recruitment, commitment is reciprocal and so the more the client commits to you, the more you can commit to them. This is not a bad message to communicate to your client.
