Think about conversations that will follow your candidate profile – and you will work better. If you are going to present the candidate to the client, then it is important that you gain ‘balanced’ information about the candidate to help in that presentation. Think about the feedback you want to give to the candidate – whether you are progressing them or rejecting them – and make sure you have sufficient points to discuss with them.

If you are rejecting them, it is also worth considering the value of providing some information to your client about the candidates that you have decided not to put forward. This can show you have been thorough at, sometimes, you will gain some flexibility from the client.
