It’s very easy to make poor judgments relating to the quality of client relationships and typically recruiters will overestimate.  This leads to thinking that an account is secure when in fact it may be highly vulnerable and in turn leads to complacent behaviour on the part of the recruiter.  So remember that client perception is key – use the Client Perception Ladder as a guide and if in doubt underestimate the quality of the relationship.  If we do this we will keep working hard and stave off complacency.
