Managing Margins is not necessarily about you getting the best possible margin every time.  If you charge clients too much too frequently or try and reduce the temp’s rate past the point where they feel that they are getting a fair deal it often works against us in the long term.  Be particularly aware of this with clients and candidates whom you feel it’s important that you build a strong long term relationship with – there may even be cases where you feel it is appropriate for you to compromise on your margin to keep either party happy in the long term rather than asking them to compromise all the time.
